Learning the art of infant massage is one of the most gratifying and loving activities that you can share with your baby. It is a wonderful way to enrich the parent-infant relationship and provide your baby with a pleasurable form of stimulation that will enhance your baby's overall development. Research has shown that nurturing relationships in the first 3 years of life profoundly impact the brain's development and therefore who we become for a lifetime. Infant massage has valuable benefits for both the baby and the care giver that help cultivate a nurturing lifelong relationship. I truly believe in this type of work as it has made an incredible impact in my relationship with my own son and with the relationships of the families I have worked with. I teach group and individual series, depending on the needs of the parents and baby. Classes are in my home, in the home of an individual participant, or at a facility that accommodates a particular group. I also do brief introduction to infant massage in-services for interested mothers or professional groups. In my classes, I use my experience as an occupational therapist and as a mother to augment my instruction in infant massage and communication. Enjoy exploring this web site.
